kiasu, or not kiasu?

the definition of kiasu is someone that is afraid of losing. well, i was just thinking to myself and wondering if i could be classified under that category.
you see, i am usually the one that starts studying the earliest, i think. well, i'm the one that didn't come out of my house for a week, studying, and pretty much had zero human contact other than a phone call here or there about exams.
but my argument is, it's cause i'm scared. i've got an idea of what i've gotta do before the exams, that includes doing all the reading and doing the past year papers. and there's alot of reading to do. 20 lectures worth of reading, which i would not have touched before this.
but then again, i guess i can be called kiasu since i'm not scared of failing. i'm just scared of not getting that first. but then again, i know alot of other people are like that! especially malaysians. it's in our blood. haha. bad point.
another thing, i'm lazy the whole year round. it's only at exams that i study like mad. there's no motivation for me to work hard any other time. so, that doesn't mean i'm kiasu, right? i just have expectations to fulfill. my own expectations to fulfill.
so anyways, that's the musing out loud part.
i can't believe it. blogging is getting to be more than just putting your deepest darkest secrets on the web, it's way past being just a fad. i think it's growing to be a whole new industry. check out the blogebrity's and look for your favourite bloggers.

yes, you are kiasu :P

and truth doesn't exist because it's merely your interpretation of reality. according to my oh-so-brilliant-because-i'm-a-realist-therefore-everyone-else-is-a-moron philosophy tutor.

so when are you going to be posting your deepest darkest secrets in here? :P

well, the truth doesn't exist in my reality. i've cleverly hidden them in the deep corner of my mind where even i don't know it exists. :P
