there's only one keano
so i spent more than 10 hours on the bus, and even less time in manchester just to watch roy keane's testimonial match. do i hear, 'but you're a liverpool fan'? ahhh..who cares. as long as i can tell people that i've been to a football match. plus, liverpool has a very painful and expensive process to buy their tickets. and i don't have family there.
so, highlights include, walking all the way back from old trafford (manchester's not that big, took an hour or so), watching giggs running down the left and doing his magic, learning one chant because that was all i managed to catch from the loud booming voices of thousands of men, and watching a shouting match (hand gestures included) between the celtic and united fans.
but it was cool seeing the whole of manchester filled with drunken celtic fans at every corner. they were either drinking merrily in their pubs, or dancing and singing on the streets. quite a scene. and as our bus crawled slowly through the traffic, they decided that they would strip and start chanting to entertain us. also, as expected, there were more cops than usual. but i wonder why there were two guys dressed as batman and superman.
pictures? i've only got one of the stadium which ain't much anyways. (more here) i was all the way at the highest row of the north west corner. the view was still good, just that i had to wear my glasses to identify the numbers on the shirts. and, as always, i forgot to charge my batteries. gg!

so there's nothing much else to say. i've got exams starting wednesday till the next friday after that. more to come after all my summer adventures.
